Here is an idea that could be good for your contributors, speed up the approval process, so the people that EARN YOUR MONEY for you will get there images online sooner, it is now well over 4 weeks or a month since I have uploaded images for approval.
We understand how incredibly frustrating the wait times are David, I assure you. Pond5 is experiencing an unbelievable explosion of growth right now, and everyone is working as hard as they possibly can to get everyone's material reviewed as quickly and cleanly as possible. Surely if you have so many submissions, you should respond to this by employing more people to do the approvals.
It's called good business practice, which makes YOU more money, makes your contributors happy, they have the chance to get there work infront of end users and the people that come to your site to licence all kinds of imagery, they are happy because they have more choices.
Taking over 6 weeks to approve work won't last contributors will go elsewhere.
Just to make it clear, this time frame of at least a month to get approvals is going to be the ongoing thing that contributors have to contend with in the future.
I concur with jonathon. If you are having a unbelievable growth explosion then you should have an explosion of growth in the staff. Waiting four weeks for a review ( which I am experiencing as well ) is more than frustrating.
I understand guys, I really do. I work in customer service here, so I talk to people who are as frustrated as you every single day. It's a big problem, we know that, and we're working as hard as we possibly can on it. Unfortunately, it's not as simple as just rapidly hiring a hundred new curators. But I promise we're doing everything we can do bring the wait times back down to reasonable levels. Thank you for understanding.
