Youtube Video Copyright Strike

Seguir

Hi there, I purchased a song from you and included it in the linked youtube video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8qoLPrmb1o

A while back youtube flagged it as copyright strike and removed monetization from me and pay's it to the owner.

Any thoughts?

    Hi Gary,

    By purchasing files from the Pond5 site, you are allowed use them under our Royalty Free License on YouTube. Pond5 requires its composers to release their claim on any videos uploaded by Pond5 customers, so that our customers are freely able to monetize their videos, or show them without ads if they choose. Unfortunately, there is still no way to do this on YouTube other than by filing a dispute.  Since you do have the proper rights, your next step is to file one of these disputes. The process is outlined on YouTube's site - Dispute a Content ID claim . We would be more than happy to file a dispute for you on your behalf also. Please contact support at support@pond5.com along with the following information so that we can proceed:

    * Transaction ID
    * Item ID
    * A screenshot or name of the company that made the claim

    Don't worry, we will do all we can to help take care of this for you!

    This is ridiculous. I have a video that needs to go live and I am being asked to wait 30 DAYS for the composer to stop monetising my video and approve the license.

    We're sorry to hear you ran into this issue Kylie. Generally these claims are released much quicker than 30 days. These claims are out of our control, however we are more than happy to reach out to the content ID company on your behalf and file dispute, to help have any claims removed as soon as possible.

    Please feel free to send an email to support@pond5.com with the following information and we will do our very best to resolve this issue for you.

    * A link to the Youtube video with a claim
    * Transaction ID
    * Item ID
    * A screenshot or name of the company that made the claim

    I have 3-4 songs that I got from Pond5 with copyright strikes on them, even though I put that I purchased the song from Pond5 and even include my purchase info, Content ID, date I purchased it in the description of the video... 2 of which I disputed months ago.

    Hi Isabel.  I was able to resubmit both of them yesterday and they were released pretty quickly.   I just find it frustrating that when I put my transaction ID, purchase amount, purchase date in the description of the video that I still get flagged.  It makes me want to only use no charge royalty free music or no music at all.  I do love the Pond5 website and the composers/artists and music you have, would be nice to be assured that your composers won't claim music that you sell as copyrighted when a license to use it has been purchased.
